With the determination to not implement the trade sanctions on Russia that were enacted by Congress, Mr. Trump has joined Vladimer Putin and Xi Shauping in a new axis of evil in this world. Both Xi and Putin have full dictatorial control over their nations and Mr. Trump has the advantage of a weak Congress and a partisan Supreme Court. There is no end to the disruption their policies can create around the globe. Perhaps we can begin to correct the American mistakes in the November election; however, irreversible damage will already have been done in Ukraine and the Middle East. Russia and China will be even more powerful on the world stage. Nascent democracies and people seeking freedom will lose without U.S support.
