As a forty-year fan of the Seattle Mariners I was once again disappointed by their inability to live up to projected success. I now join many other fans and hope for next year. Few events from the past season are worth remembering. One event which will stay with me happened in Detroit when Justin Verlander’s daughter came to the mound and escorted him off the field for the last time. Truly, family is so much more important than a game!
