The past year and one half have demonstrated that the Republican Party has fractured into what one would consider traditional party values versus Trumpism.\u00a0 Trumpism seems to be some combination of \u2018omerta\u2019 as practiced by the mafia and traditional fascism and is \u2018calling the shots\u2019.\u00a0 Public servants are expected to honor the wishes of a demented narcissist instead of the oath of office to which each swears.\u00a0 This behavior is most prevalent in the FBI Director and the acting Attorney General but has manifested in the other cabinet secretaries.\u00a0 The efforts to control elections go so far as to misuse the Postal Service. Judges who rule against the misuse of authority are often ignored and always denigrated and their impeachment suggested.\u00a0 We are witnessing a system of laws being replaced by a system of presidential whim.\u00a0 Congress has not demonstrated the statesmanship needed to return to the Constitutional promise of our founders.\u00a0 We have hundreds elected to that body who care more about their largest campaign donor than about their constituents.
